Rob graduated from Cardiff Dental Hospital in 1992. He then worked in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery positions gaining entry onto the Specialist List in Oral Surgery in 1999.
In 2001 Rob completed, with distinction, the MSc in Implant Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital.
Since 2003, Rob has worked in multi-specialist dental practices and part-time at Cardiff University helping to develop and run the MSc / PGDip in Dental Implantology, soft tissue and bone augmentation courses.
Rob limits his work to dental implant treatment, bone augmentation, soft tissue grafting and oral surgery procedures.

David O’Flynn has been the Registrar of the Dental Council since January 2009. Prior to joining the Council he spent seven years as the Director of Operations at An Bord Altranais (now the Nursing and Midwifery Board), the regulatory body for the nursing and midwifery professions. He is a qualified management accountant and he has worked in senior financial and management positions in the private sector, public sector and the commercial semi-state sector.
